Camu Camu is a tart berry that grows throughout the rainforest. The fruit itself is not edible, but when dried it can be ground into a fine powder that can be incorporated into supplements or smoothies. Camu Camu berries come from the Myrciaria dubia shrub and start out soft yellow in color and, when ripe, transform to a deep red hue. The fruit is known for its high Vitamin C content and needs to be picked early on or the potency will diminish with ripening. In fact, the Camu Camu berries contain more vitamin C than any other fruit or vegetable but one*. Our Organic Camu Camu powder is finely milled and perfect for blending. With just 5 grams of powder blended into a delicious smoothie or sprinkled over yogurt, you’ll get about 760% of your daily vitamin C value. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient, a valuable antioxidant and vital to the health of the immune system.
